Add Some WAM to your Models!Writing About Models, affectionately dubbed WAM, allows students todescribe in words what their model visually explains about sciencephenomena. Students can write about their own model or what they see inother models. Models and their written explanations challenge students tocommunicate thinking multiple ways. By explaining a model, studentssummarize and synthesize what they visually explain, deepening theirunderstanding of a phenomenon.Learn more about this writing routine to help maximize the impact ofscientific models in your class!
