Two-Penny Glider – an Engineering Project with Wood and Paper

Learn simple but classic building techniques to build a two-penny tissueglider that flies and can be used to teach the basics of flight. The methodsare simple while the results allow students to learn techniques for buildingtowers, bridges and other complex structures. Participants will build part ofthe glider and take plans away to use with students. Building materials arelimited and serious participants will bring a pair of fingernail clippers to cutbalsa wood.
